The Eleventh Miracle : The Trees Yielding to Him, God’s Blessing and Peace be Upon Him
In his Sanad (a tradition book), Muslim transmitted from Jabir Ibn Abdallah, may God be pleased with him, he said, ‘We walked with the Prophet, God’s blessing and peace be upon him, till we reached a very wide valley. The Messenger of Allah went to relieve nature and I followed him with a vessel filled with water. he looked round him and found nothing to cover him self and suddenly he saw two trees near the valley. So, he hurried to one of them, took some of its branches and said, ‘Come to me, by God’s will’.
It was led to him as a submissive cattle. Then he approached the second tree, took of some of its branches and said, ‘Follow me, by God’s will’. And really, it followed him as the previous one.
When he became in the middle (between the two trees) he joined them both. Jabir said, ‘Then, I left him and hurried to another place in order not to make him feel my presence. I sat talking to myself and suddenly I saw the Messenger of Allah approaching me and when I looked at the two trees, they were departed as before. This is one of the clear and distinguished miracles which happen to no one but to a great Prophet.
