The Tenth Miracle : Paying the Debt of Jabir Which Overwhelmed All His Money
Al- Bukhari, may Allah have mercy upon him, transmitted the following
story of Jabir which shows a sign of the Muhammadan prophecy:
He said, ‘Jabir Ibn Abdallah Ibn Amr Ibn Haram, may God be pleased
with him, said, ‘when my father died, he was indebted. So, I came
to the Messenger of Allah and told him the story and that
I have no money to pay the debt. He went with me till we
reached one of the threshing floors of palm trees which I own and he
called God to answer him. Then he came to another threshing floor
and asked my creditors to take the dates instead of the money (the debt).
Of course they did as they were asked and many dates remained in the threshing floors.’’. thus, the dates were enough to pay all the debts and that was the result of Muhammad’s blessing and supplication in the threshing floors. That was one of the signs of the prophecy and a visible miracle.
