Neighbors' Rights in Islam

Neighbors rights according to the Noble Sunnah of the Prophet, Peace and blessings be upon him

The rights of a neighbor in Islam lie within the framework of the following two hadiths:

  • Narrated by Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that our noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said "Gabriel continued to recommend me about treating the neighbors Kindly and politely so much so that I thought he would order me to make them as my heirs."
(Sahih Bikhari: Volume 8, Book 73, Good Manners and Form (Al-Adab), Number 43).
  • It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him said: "By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer.''
It was asked, "Who is that, O Messenger of Allah?''
He said, "One whose neighbor does not feel safe from his evil"
(Sahih Bikhari: Volume 8, Book 73, Good Manners and Form (Al-Adab), Number 45).
