The Fourth Miracle : The Flowing of the Water From Among the Prophet’s Fingers
Of the miracles of the beloved Muhammad which show his prophecy and the truth (veracity) of his message, is the flowing of the water from among his noble fingers. Anas Ibn Malik, the servant of the Prophet, God’s blessing and peace be upon him, said, ‘While the people were preparing themselves for the middle prayer and were performing the ritual ablution, a vessel full of water was presented to the Prophet in order to perform the ablution.
The Messenger put his hands in that vessel and ordered the people to perform their ritual ablution from that vessel and I saw water flowing from among his fingers all the people did as he asked’. Qatadah said, ‘I said to Anas how many persons were they?’ Anas said, ‘About three hundred men’.
This is a visible miracle because it is impossible for any person to present a miracle like this.
So, this was a sign of Muhammad’s prophecy and it happened in Medina, the capital and about three hundred men who were of the cleverest and the most sincere attend and witnessed it.
